A female figure shaped from used tires, this work transforms a constrained material into a living body.  
The covered face and suspended gesture evoke a withheld speech and a blocked dance, between protection and silent resistance. This body thinks of those from whom speech has been taken, and forbids movement. What has been silenced or attempted to be silenced refuses to disappear.
