Does she desire, does she want to arouse desire, does she feel desirable? Platon says that desire finds its origin in a lack that generates suffering. Indeed desire aims for its own extinction: “if my hunger is satisfied, I no longer desire to eat”. Feeling desirable implies personal satisfaction, arousing desire as well. She therefore does not suffer because her desire is multiple and fills her with joy.
